We are beyond excited to introduce our Equine Connection Camp, a unique two-day OR three-day immersive experience designed to help children and teens build confidence, responsibility, and a deep, meaningful connection with horses—all in a non-riding environment. This isn’t just about learning about horses; it’s about learning with them in a way that nurtures patience, empathy, and self-awareness.

Throughout the camp, participants will engage in hands-on equine-based activities, including feeding, grooming, groundwork exercises, and basic training techniques. They’ll learn how to communicate with horses through body language, energy, and trust, fostering emotional regulation and social skills that extend far beyond the barn. Our gentle herd, including horses and sheep, provides a safe and nurturing space for children to develop teamwork, responsibility, and a deeper appreciation for nature.

Beyond working with our animals, we incorporate fun and creative activities such as crafts, nature-based play, and mindfulness exercises to encourage self-expression and relaxation. We also offer private camp options for those who may benefit from a more individualized experience.

What to Expect:

Over the course of two days, children will learn the fundamentals of horse care, communication, and mindfulness, all while having fun and making new friends! Each day will be filled with engaging activities designed to teach respect, patience, and the importance of working in harmony with horses and nature.

Meet & Greet with our equine partners, learning about their personalities and behaviors

This is not a riding camp, but an immersive experience that focuses on hands-on equine-based activities, fostering responsibility, mindfulness, and self-awareness.

Over the course of three days, your child will learn how to interact with horses in a way that builds trust, communication, and confidence—all while having fun, making new friends, and embracing the healing energy of nature.

Our Private Equine Connection Camp at GouldWood Meadows offers a fully customized experience tailored to your child’s (or your own) unique needs, interests, and comfort level. This immersive, hands-on camp is designed to foster confidence, self-awareness, and a deep, meaningful connection with horses—no riding required.

Unlike our group camps, this private experience allows for undivided attention, specialized activities, and a flexible pace, ensuring a truly individualized and enriching journey. Whether you book for one day or multiple days, we will curate a schedule that meets your goals and comfort level. Pricing depends on the number of days booked and the level of customization requested.

What to Bring to Camp 

To ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience at camp, please bring the following items:

✅ Lunch & Snacks
✅ Reusable Water Bottle – Staying hydrated is key!
✅ Proper Footwear – Boots or closed-toed shoes with a ½ inch square heel for equine activities.
✅ Weather-Appropriate Clothing – Dress in layers to stay comfortable throughout the day.
✅ Long Pants – Required for equine activities.

Early Bird Special – Register before the first camp session and save $10 per day off your final camp invoice!

Multiple Week/Family Discount – Enroll in multiple weeks or register more than one child per family, and receive $10 per day off your camp fees!

A $150 deposit is required to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due on the first day of camp (invoices will be sent closer to your camp date) and can be paid via e-transfer or cheque.
